“Patricia was so warm and inviting. She came to me, made my space work for the photoshoot and made me feel comfortable. The shots she took highlighted not just the beauty externally but my inner glow and that was apparent in how she captured my smile (and my dog’s).”
“I really enjoyed working with you. You are very friendly and open and I felt very comfortable with you very quickly. In fact, at certain moments I felt more like I was on an outing with a friend than we were doing a photo shoot. Which probably helped to make the photos more natural. It was very enjoyable and some very nice photos came out of our shoots! Should we work together again in the future, I think that would be incredibly fun!”
“Then finally the photo shoot with Patricia in Huygenspark The Hague. It was a morning I will not forget. So relaxing, Patricia’s presence and the results of the photos were beyond my expectations. I can recommend Patricia to everyone, and thanks again Patricia”
“Meeting Patricia was pleasant and inspiring. It was like she was a friend I had known for years with whom I drank coffee and talked a hundred times about my work as a social worker at the COC and leisure activities. That I juggle, she found fun, and that I meditate to de-stress seemed like the two images she wanted to make for her queer photo series. The photoshoot itself went by literally in a flash. I am thrilled with the images on the beach that Patricia made. I am grateful to be part of the Queer photo project.”
“I recently took part in Patricia’s project regarding queer stereotypes. It was a really fun experience. I normally don’t enjoy being photographed, but Patricia made it very easy and fun, and I was able to be myself in front of the camera. She is so kind and personable; you really feel like you’re just chatting with an old friend. I feel very lucky to have been part of this project, and I think the photos she took were fantastic.”
“I had the honour of working with Patricia. She’s a nice person to work with. She knows how to capture someone’s point of view and hers. I explained to her who I am as a person, and she knew what to do and where to take the photos for her project. A place that represents me as a queer person in the gay community. I had a good time working with her. We laughed, we communicated, and I am very satisfied with the result of her work.”
“I was fortunate enough to work with Patricia on her project regarding Queer stereotypes. She was very well organized and prepared, plus she put in a lot of time to scout for locations and set everything up. She had great communication with me throughout the entire process and was able to put my anxieties at ease. She was very personable and really took the time to get to know me and who I am and learn about my interests. She was then able to take my interests and incorporate them into the pictures so that they reflect me and all that I am. I am so excited to have these moments captured in time to treasure forever.”
“I’m happy to have had the pleasure of working with Patricia on her project about breaking with queer stereotypes. I tend to find myself rather stereotypical with my pink hair and rainbows everywhere, but even in looking like I do, Patricia assured me the multi-faceted parts of my personality deserved to be seen too. I am a rainbow unicorn fairy for sure, but I am also a politician, philosopher, and activist. The shoot itself was also very relaxed and a lot shorter than I am personally used to from shoots, which really helps in making it less energy-consuming. Patricia and I talked a lot about our identities, relationships, and how to navigate life as a queer person. All in all, it was a really fun and pleasant experience that I will remember fondly, especially thanks to the souvenir of the beautiful photos she took!”
“Patricia made me feel comfortable to get my picture taken. She lets you be you, and because of her positive energy you relax and forget she is taking your picture. I have had the pleasure of being in front of her lens two times now, and both have been a fun time.”
“In the summer of 2022, I experienced a photo shoot by Patricia for Bi+ Netherlands. What struck me right away is the professionalism and confidence Patricia brings. She puts you at ease, knows the best spots in the park for the most beautiful shots and freely experiments with light and dark. This also made me feel free to bring in an idea from time to time. She responded enthusiastically. The result is worth it. Thank you for the fine cooperation and the beautiful result.”
